(Talking to Dad about female vocalists)
Me: How about Sarah Blasko, do you like her?
Dad: Yeah, she has a nice voice, but all her stuff is a bit... Samey. I've only listened to one of her albums, and it was all the same.
James: Oh... Fair enough.
Dad: I really like Missy Higgins, she's amazing, but she's a bit too 'populist'.
James: *speechless* Um... What? Are you trying to get indie cred now?
Dad: *laughs*
I never did get an alternative explanation, either.
So even though Christmas is not something I generally get excited about (emocionado, not excitado), or even notice all that much, today was excellent. I saw more family than I have in a long time, and heard lots of funny stories (from the family), and ate lots of delicious delicious food, and drove many miles with my brother and sister.
Merry Christmas, yo.
I’m considering deleting the last bit of my last post. I don’t know what I was thinking, writing that. At least here on Tumblr nobody will know who I’m talking about, but there’s only a small degree of separation until it could get into the hands of somebody who does.
I’d try revoking my Internet privileges while under the influence, but I don’t do it very...
Tonight was the Emotum Christmas party, preceded by my last day working as a tester presumably ever. The half-day of work was nothing unusual, except for the early start, but for the Christmas party we went lawn bowling and proceeded to get… Rather drunk. I was okay at lawn bowls, and ate pretty much the spiciest pizza ever (even the people who like spicy stuff struggled). It was delicious...

Visa Application Successful!
Got a phone call this morning from the Swedish embassy: visa application successful! So relieved. Now I just have to get hold of it. I can’t do it through the consulate in Sydney, so I can send my passport to Canberra in the post, go to Canberra myself, or get it stamped once I get to Sweden. I’m taking the second option, believe it or not, because I’ll be driving from Sydney to...
h9, by the way, is the same as h8, but with extra hate.
Gah, h9 you so much right now Stephen Conroy.

Whoa, that is just crazy. I don’t think I’d be able to go that small by myself.
“Poor Al Gore. Global warming completely debunked by the very Internet you invented.”
EDIT: Okay so this doesn’t seem to be working on the Tumblr dashboard (it works on my actual Tumblr though), so here is a link.
(619): Microwave minutes are longer than normal minutes. - TFLN
See, I totally agree with this, but I have a bit of a related secret. My total amount of microwave uses this year is about… One. The reason, to be perfectly honest, is that I’m terrified of them. I do not trust them one little bit. I mean, they emit microwaves, for God’s sake, and those things are scary.
I do,...
